New iphone!

I got the new iphone over the weekend. I bought one for my wife too. And I passed my 1st gen phone to my 13 year old son.

What is amazing and easy to forget after two years, is how this phone changes what a cell phone is for people. To see the iphone through my wife’s and son’s experiences as new users was quite spectacular.

It is easy, perhaps at this point even lazy, to use Apple as ‘go to’ example of user experience. But as I watch my family use these devices, I note that it is also an appropriate example.
